2013 Sessions
In the past, we’ve tried a few different models for BookCampTO, seeing what works and what doesn’t in the Toronto publishing scene. This year, we’ll be trying a hybrid model of our best years: An Ask Me Anything room, and Open Schedule Room, and 3 Session Rooms.
Ask Me Anything: Are you an experienced book-professional who has plenty of advice to share on the major topics facing publishers, book sellers, authors or librarians? Are you willing to answer a barrage of questions covering the gamut of said knowledge? The following sessions have been confirmed for Saturday, but you can still propose topics for our open slots at [email protected].
(NB: We might pair you up with additional experts in your field in order to maximize the session)
- 12 pm: Digital Publicity
- 1 pm: Wattpad Presents: Tech Platforms
- 2 pm: EAC Presents: Freelance Editing
- 3 pm: Critical Culture
- 4 pm: ACP Presents: Cultural Advocacy
Sessions: We’re looking for individuals or small panels to craft a total of 15 sessions at BookCampTO Five. Take a look at the session ideas that have been proposed so far – is your topic there already? If yes, we can hook you up with the session’s originator and you can collaborate. If no, send us a short blurb or series of questions you wish to address and we’ll add it to the schedule. Our email is [email protected]
